05 - 1 cup granulated sugar (7.1 oz)
06 - ½ cup mild liquid honey (4 fl oz)
07 - 4 large eggs, room temperature
08 - 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
09 - ½ cup whole milk, room temperature (4 fl oz)

→ Optional Glaze

10 - 2 tbsp honey (1 fl oz)
11 - 1 tbsp unsalted butter (0.5 oz)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and lightly flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
02 - Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl; set aside.
03 - Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
04 - Add honey to the creamed mixture and blend until fully incorporated.
05 - Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
06 - Add dry ingredients in three additions, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix gently until just combined without overmixing.
07 - Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the surface evenly.
08 - Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
09 - Let cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
10 - Melt honey and butter together and brush over the warm cake for added shine and flavor.
